An easy slow cooker apple sauce recipe to use up your fall harvest!
  • 5 lbs apples, cored and sliced
  • sea salt
  • lemon juice
  • cinnamon
  • nutmeg
  1. Core and slice the apples (peel and all!) and place in a slow cooker on high for 4 hours. Occasionally give them a stir so they don't stick to the bottom.
  2. When the apples are done cooking, let them cool slightly. You want to be able to put them in a blender and not end up burning yourself! Once it's all blended, place the sauce back into the slow cooker. Cook for another 45 minutes uncovered (or until you reach the desired thickness).
  3. Once you have the consistency you want, add in a pinch of salt and nutmeg, approx 1 tsp of cinnamon, and 1 tsp of lemon juice. You can add other spices as desired but this is what I went with.
  4. Enjoy!
