How to Make Steel Cut Oatmeal {Quickly}
I've always loved steel cut oatmeal but typically don't have the time (or patience) needed to make it on a day to day basis. This my friends, is how to make steel cut oatmeal....almost instantly!
  • ¼ cup steel cut oats
  • 1 Tbsp chia seeds
  • ¾ cup of liquid (I use unsweetened almond coconut milk, can use water)
  1. Place the steel cut oats and chia seeds in a small, high powered food processor (I like to use my magic bullet). Blend until the mixture has a flour like consistency. Place the oat/chia seed flour in a pot with ¾ of liquid of choice. I like using almond coconut milk but it's up to you what you want to use! The mixture should be ready in 3-5 minutes. Make sure to watch it and stir as needed so it doesn't burn to the bottom of your pot (not that I know this from personal experience.....). Enjoy!
  2. Note: I like to add a mashed banana in while cooking to add sweetness but it's not necessary.
